Halloween (2018) Directed by David Gordon Green
Went and saw the new Halloween today. I didn't quite know what to expect (I don't read reviews before seeing films) but I was excited to see the return of Laurie Strode, survivor of the brutal 1978 killing spree of deranged serial killer Michael Myers. Nick Castle, the original Shape? Check. Jamie Lee Curtis as an older and much changed Laurie Strode? Check. Shit we even get PJ Soles back from the dead as "school teacher". Also music by Mr. Carpenter and his son.
I really enjoyed the film. Yes, there were a few things... but I was happy to let them slide because the rest of the film was so fun (Really doctor? Really?). There are sooooo many nods and wink winks to the Halloween series. I smiled many times at certain camera shots and dialogue lines.
Old man Michael Myers is creepy as shit. Old lady Laurie Strode is badass.
"Come at me, bro."
Aww Michael Myers always makes the best jack-o-lanterns.
"Trick or treat. Oh fuck!"
